South Beach Night Club Guide

With the intoxicating mix of Caribbean-style beaches, beautiful people, and warm spring nights, South Beach nightlife keeps the party going well after the sun has set.  Find your favorite South Beach Night Club in our list below!

Officially, the party does not start at well-known South Beach clubs until 11 PM.  This "fashionably late" start time is followed by many other clubs.  Another mainstay you will find are the closely-watched velvet ropes at the entrance doors- no doubt meant to add to the "exclusive" image these hot spots project.  No worries, though, as long as you make the dress code (read: everything black), you can get into most of these clubs, especially if you can look the part.  Special caveat: Groups of guys will have a real problem getting into most places without an associated group of ladies- so bring your hottest female friends along. 

Another special tip for getting into a 'more desirable' South Beach night club- use your concierge.  These folks (at the higher-end hotels and resorts) often have good connections to "get you on the list."  You may still have to wait for admittance, but that velvet rope is no longer a barrier!

There are many, many a South Beach night club you could visit during your Spring Break South Beach stay.  In fact, you could go to a different South Beach night club every night for two weeks and still not see them all.  Careful, though: clubs can open and close quickly, so make sure you check when you arrive that your pre-scouted South Beach night club is not really just a memory.

Here's a selection of some of the better night clubs we have found which thrive with the typical Spring Break crowd:

Crobar

Crobar (1445 Washington Avenue).  This is an industrial-style dance club with all the light and sound systems to keep the beat pumping all night long at Spring Break South Beach.  This Chicago-import, with its over-the-top theme nights and occasional live DJs makes for a party the keeps the crowds lined around the corner.  Cover varies from $20-$30.

Wet Willie's

Wet Willie's (760 Ocean Drive).  This South Beach night club is a fine mix of dance-floor and daiquiri bar, located right across from the Atlantic Ocean.  With a roof-top patio bar and outrageous drinks (Call a Cab!?), this joint is popular both during the day and evening.  Yeah, it's a chain, but it's still fun.  Spring Break South Beach style would require nothing less!

Mansion

Mansion (1235 Washington Avenue).  Another massive South Beach night club open Thursday through Sunday only.  Many stars and celebrities have been known to make this stop mandatory on their personal clubs scene- thus making this South Beach night club VIP only.  Still, for those looking to make the scene at Spring Break South Beach, a quick call to your concierge can get you into this multi-level lounge with models, live DJs, and all the ambience you would expect from one of South Beach's hottest night clubs.  Cover varies from $10 to $40.

Laundry Bar

Laundry Bar (721 N. Lincoln Lane).  Yes, you can do your laundry in the working washers and dryers, grab a drink, and dance your a%$ off all in this one South Beach night club.  This is also one of the only places in South Beach open from 7 a.m. until 5 a.m. the next day.  Live DJs on Thursdays and a packed house on the weekends make this South Beach night club a favorite.  Did we mention the extended daily happy hours (4 p.m. to 9 p.m.) where drinks go two-for-the-price-of-one? 

Club Deep

Club Deep (621 Washington Avenue).  You've heard the term walk on water?  Well now you can dance on water thanks to Club Deep's aquarium dance floor.  This South Beach night club is one of the oldest on the strip, but it still draws the crowds.  Popular hip-hop and dance music is the norm, but there is the occasional live DJ as well.  Don't forget to check the schedule during your Spring Break South Beach for occasional theme nights guaranteed to turn up the temperature of this club several notches.

Fat Tuesday

Fat Tuesday (918 Ocean Drive).  Yeah, it's a chain found in many other Spring Break destinations, but it still does a great time of entertaining the Spring Break South Beach crowd.  In addition to being a restaurant, this place also has a daiquiri bar known to be potent and fun.
